International Comparability:
There is no official document suggesting the comparability of the qualification with those in other countries, but ITI graduates have found employment in many Gulf countries, European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, etc.
Progression Pathway:
- Higher Secondary Certificate: Can appear in 10+2 examination through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
- Diploma Course: Can take admission in diploma courses in notified branches of Engineering by lateral entry.
- Industry Jobs: Can join as semi-skilled workers in the industry and progress to supervisor roles after part-time diploma courses in relevant branches of Engineering.
- Apprenticeship Programme: Can join apprenticeship programs in various industries, leading to a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC), and progress to supervisor roles.
- Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS): Can become instructors in ITI/Vocational Training Institutes after completing the CITS in the relevant trade.
